I Believe...
- Every woman over 35 can look great on the beach
- Women feel they carve themselves up to give to others...that there is very little leftover for them...and they put their needs last
- There is a disproportionate offering of sensibly stylish fashion for women over 35...given their massive spending influence, this makes no sense and is frustrating...not to mention belittling
- That most women will lose their sense of self at some stage in their lives...some feel 'unworthy' to reclaim it
- Many women need a little bit of 'hand-up' every now and then...we don't always reach out for it
- That we women sometimes lack the confidence to be true to ourselves and live a life we truly desire...deep down inside
- That there is no such word as 'can't'...just 'won't'
- Women are fabulous at helping each other...it's how we're wired
- Women are gutsy, tenacious and strong. When the chips are down, a woman will take the first step to find a way forward and get on with it
- Women can do anything!
- Never underestimate a woman
That's why I do what I do...because I believe in women and I want to help, in some small way, to help women feel good about themselves...to help me feel good about me too.
Particularly women over 35. Women who have seen their bodies transform and change, their confidence wax and wane and who are in the busiest stage of their lives. Women who want to live life to the full but sometimes feel something is holding them back.
So, I've decided to make a start and start with summer. A season that beckons us to get out and live life to the full but in doing so, often means revealing more of ourselves than we otherwise feel comfortable about doing.
Summerwear that covers up so we feel confident, comfortable and look delicious. Swimwear that holds in the flabby bits and is cut in a flattering way in for the real female form. The average size for women in Australia is now a size 16. It's not about size, it's about shape!
I believe that I need to do something to let women know about places they can confidently shop at, for stylish, value for money clothes. Not chains store stuff that you risk seeing on everyone else or you buy because it's 'easy'. No frump. Pieces that are as individual as you are.
