Do you find it hard to find Resortwear or any clothes for that matter, that truly fit? If you do, it seems you're not alone.

Choice have just released this really interesting article about the HUGE variations in garment sizing in Australia and how now day's it's pretty much a manufacturer's 'free for all'.
They claim "a study conducted by the University of South Australia and SHARP Dummies in 2002 found that about 50% of people surveyed said they couldn't buy "regular" sized clothing as it didn't fit their body shape, and it seems things haven't improved since."
AND get this...
"the most recent Australian clothing standard for adult men and women was withdrawn in 2007 as it was considered no longer relevant. Established in 1959, the standard was based on data from a 1926 study of women conducted by underwear manufacturer Berlei and some US Department of Commerce Standards. After 1970, several revisions were made to the standard for women using data provided by the Australian Women's Weekly when 11,455 female readers measured themselves and posted in the results, the last revision taking place in 1975."
So it seems we're not all hallucinating hormonal messes...it's a fact girls, that we're being served up one on a daily basis.
Read more about this great Sizing Catastrophe here in the Choice article.
But of course, we've always recognised that shopping on line for clothes is tricky business anyway. The size catastrophe business only makes life more difficult for both you and I.
That's why you'll find a Measurement Table like this one on most garments sold at Sequins & Sand. 'Fit Info' is also included.
We all should know our core measurements anyway to ensure that whenever we shop, and where ever we shop, we don't waste precious time trying on things that are never going to work in the first place. Who has that luxury?!
Thank goodness Sequins & Sand has Free Returns.
Enjoy the read...it's fascinating!
Until next time
