Summer Style: How 'bout an Apple...what's to grapple when you're an apple

Okay, let's start with the basics. What is 'Apple' body shape you ask? Good question that deserves an equally good answer. Here goes...
Depending on what literature you consult an apple shaped woman basically finds her tummy the most challenging bit of her anatomy to feel good about.
Now we're not talking a bit of a flabbly bit, it usually is a bit fuller than that, hence the fruit reference.
As with any 'downside' as it were, there is an upside. Apples usually have great legs and not bad boobs to go with them.
So for all you apple gals out there, flaunt your best bits and don't bring much attention to the tum.
- Tip - your narrowest point is going to be just under your bust so THE most important style tip is to ensure that you emphasise that with a passion which will downplay what lies beneath.
She'll be Apples at the beach in these great Kaftan styles:
- Empire line- seam is below the bust and the garment 'falls' from there so it won't cling to your tummy.
- 'A' Line - usually darted at the bust and falls away from there. Let Amanda show you what I mean.
- Ruching - is your new best friend. The gentle folds help to conceal you tummy in a very flattering way
- Prints - are the clever masters of deception. Just make sure the bigger you are the bigger the print and smaller you are the smaller the print...think proportion.
Tip - don't wear tummy clingers...tight t-shirts, horizontal stripes (particularly multicoloured) as they will make it look as if you are walking around with a great big red arrow pointing at your tummy saying 'hey you...look here!'
Swimwear - I'll go out on a limb here and say the apple girls have got it relatively easy when it comes to looking good wearing the least on the beach...yep....seriously.
There are soooo many clever options out there to not only help reduce a tummy size, but also to create the illusion of a waist. Your legs, usually gorgeous, can do all the talking. And don't forget those boobs. If you've got 'em, it's most important to flaunt them.
Tip - when flaunting boobs, just make sure you get them up before you get them out...please! Not only will it make just under your bust look fabulously narrow, it'll take the load off your tummy and shave years off your age. Everyone wants to do that, and if they say they don't...they're liars!

For now, make the most of stylish and realistically priced swimwear options for apples...you won't be disappointed. Cross-over and ruched options work best in a colour to enliven your gorgeous eyes.
But as with everything to do with looking good and feeling great, it's all in the delivery.
You may be feeling vulnerable wearing next to nothing standing poolside or surfside, but remember that you're not the centre of everyone's universe. Sorry darlin'...you're not and if you are...half your luck!! They're all out there relaxing and having fun, far too busy to concern themselves with how 'shocking' you look in your swimwear. You just like to think they are..in some sort of bizarre way.
Look good because it makes you feel good. It's got to be about YOU, not them. Be confident knowing that you do look fabulous and just shine...beautiful.
