Tummy conscious in your togs? 5 Best Swimsuits For Your Round Shape.

Anita McLachlan - 21st September 2023

Tummy-conscious in your togs? In these swimsuit styles, your stress levels will ease. Let's go!

Hello girls! How are you? I hope this finds you well.

Let's talk tummies. In midlife, it's the area of our wondrous body that gets bigger. And so we must learn to embrace, adapt and feel great in our changing shape.

Here at S&S, we use 6 midlife shapes to help guide you to find the right fit. Remember its shape before size every time girls! Often, those of us who are tummy conscious have a Round shape. Not sure of your shape? That's okay. Head here with your measuring tape and find out!

In the Cossie Confidence Crew, our beautiful girls with a Round shape are Tatia, Flick and Jane. They're in the main image above (from L to R). Look for them as you explore our store. See them in our Cossie Confidence shoots right here. Search for them. The girls are listed in alphabetical order.

Best Swimsuits for a fuller tummy Round Shape are...

1. The 3 Tier Style:
In a tankini and one piece option, this has been a best seller for years and years. Why? Because it offers great coverage and the tiers elongate to visually lengthen rather than widen. The cups are accommodating and will work for a C-E cup even up to an F. Tatia models it in the black version above and below.

Fit Tip: The one piece in this style doesn't have any torso ruching to expand and give you the length you may need to get over your tummy. Try the tankini if that's the case or consider going up a size.

2. The Blouson Tankini Top:
Not the most supportive...best for a B-DD perhaps an E cup BUT if you want a top that won't cling, and you're not going to be jumping up and down in the pool or surf, then THIS tummy-loving tankini is for you! Available in a few different colours and prints.

3. The Zip Up One Piece with a Frill Sleeve:
A very popular one piece for lots of reasons, one of which is the excellent tummy support it offers. Snug but not constrictive. Side panels create a visual waist and the centre ruched panel for coverage and support. Best for a C-E cup.

4. The Tank Style:
In the one piece option, this is another swimsuit with side panels and a centre ruched panel. Firm fitting with very sure bust support. There's an underwire and at the inside back, a 3-point bra-like fastening for extra security. Trickier to get on and off but once you're in, you're supported and secure. The cups are deep too, made for a F/G bust. Jane wears this style in the jacquard blue fabric above. The latest print is below. There is a tankini option as well in this style with an A-line, empire line cut.

5. The Crossover One Piece Style:
This is a great style with its diagonal lines that define the bust area and visually elongate through the tummy area. Flick wears this in the sturdy jacquard black fabric below. Best for a DD-F cup.

>> All of the above options are available in different prints and plains. Just search for the style at Sequins and Sand.
