People have told me for as long as I remember that you have to love yourself before anyone else can - I never fully got it until recently and it has changed my life. I now don't do anything at the detriment of myself, I don't let people use me, I don't enter...

I am the big 50 this year. I want to see the World before I am 60. I am a retired plus size model. I am passionate about diversity in fashion. I am proud. I am single. I am funny and sometimes not so funny. I am empathetic. I am courageous or just a little crazy. I believe in true love.

My star sign is Scorpio. I am a believer. I have been having a love affair with New York City since 2009. I am a sucker for an iced coffee. I am an advocate for the empowerment of women. I am a can do person. I am comfortable in my own skin. I am a lover not a fighter. I believe self worth is everything. I wander but am not lost. I believe that when you give, you receive.

I am a dreamer. I am a manifesting machine. I am tenacious. I believe in the Universe. I am a creator of beautiful things. And now a blogger for Sequins and Sand - I love what this is about and being part of it and am honoured to be amongst such amazing company. I am a writer. I AM EVIE FOSTER.

Being Evie Foster has taught me so much. It has taught me to love and value myself because if we don't somehow learn to do that, we sacrifice so very much.

People have told me for as long as I remember that you have to love yourself before anyone else can - I never fully got it until recently and it has changed my life. I have a long list of stories I could tell you of how I arrived at this point - some are disturbing, hard lessons but I know I had to go through all of it to arrive here and 'here' is a good place. One of the other things being 'Evie Foster' has taught me is to listen to the whispers in your head - when something doesn't feel right, it normally isn't.
