The Best Beachwear for big bellies: 3 simple tips for finding the right Bathers

Girls, it comes down to 3 simple things. Embrace these tips as your new best friends and you're certain to find the right swimsuit for you. We're going to get down and RAP!

*Ruching is absolutely perfect for concealing a tummy. The gentle folds help hide what lies beneath; unlike a 'flat' fabric that hugs every contour. Tankini's (singlet top bikini's) or a Onepiece with ruching are the ticket. See the images below for examples.

*Angles are great for breaking up the 'belly brick'. Diagonal lines are the best. A fabulously effective diagonal is one that extends from your shoulder through your boobs down to your waist. Meeting at your waist, when you don't necessarily have one actually helps to create one and that's a handy 'slimming' tip. The fullpieces below do that well and do the tankini's. Some have ruching...two for one!

*Prints are the masters of disguise. The simple reason being is that your eye doesn't know where to focus. Less focus, no notice! The golden rule for prints is to keep the proportions right for your size. The taller and bigger you are, the bigger the print. Smaller in stature then a smaller print works best.

Again, tankinis and onepieces are the go. If you're after a little more modesty, then try a swimdress. They're designed to skim not cling. See the examples below.

A placement print is a great trick. The Night Flower example below shows you what I mean. A large, single print placed on one side and centred at the waist will also help to create the illusion of a waist. Again, it's an eye focus thing, proportion and balance. Let's not get too mathematical!
