Summer Shoes: How to Find Your Right Size Online

There may be less elegant ways to do it but here is a sure fire way of working out the right summer shoe size for you when shopping online and with us.

To Work Out Your Australian Shoe Size...

  • Place a piece of blank paper on a hard floor.
  • Mark the end/back of your heel and the tip of your longest toe.
  • Measure the distance between the two marks using a tape measure or ruler.

There is a great video from Eliza Magazine on how to do this. See it below. Thanks elizamagazine.com!

We use centimeters (cm) here in Australia as our standard unit of measurement. There are 2.5cm in 1 inch.

Check the table below for your Aussie shoe size:

   cm's inches	Australian Size
23 9.2 5
23.5 9.4 5.5-6
24 9.6 6.5-7
24.5 8.17 7.5-8
25 10 8.5
25.5 10.2 9
26 10.4 9.5
26.5 10.6 10

Then, if you are from outside Australia, look for your converted size in the table below:

AUS NZ UK EUR USA Japan
5 5 3.5 35 5 22
5.5 5.5 4 36 5.5 22.5
6 6 4.5 36 6 23
6.5 6.5 5 37 6.5 23.5
7 7 5.5 37 7 24
7.5 7.5 6 38 7.5 24.5
8 8 6.5 38 8 25
8.5 8.5 7 39 8.5 25.5
9 9 7.5 40 9 26
9.5 9.5 8 41 9.5 26.5
10 10 8.5 42 10 27

Some of our shoes are in European sizing. Please refer to the table above to find your conversion to Australian (and other) sizing. You'll also find Fit Tips on the Size & Fit tab of most shoes sold at Sequins and Sand to lend a helping hand.

We do offer Free Returns for size swaps on shoes for piece of mind...Australian orders only.

If you have any questions about your shoe size, then please, just drop us an email at and I'm sure we can work it out.

p.s. If you have feet like the one in the photo, then it's time for a pedicure girl!...seriously! :)
