Shipping

We ship worldwide and to any place in Australia and have tried to make shipping charges as simple and easy as possible to understand and pay for.

When you place your order with us, our database automatically calculates the weight of your order and allocates the appropriate shipping cost so that you know your total cost of shopping with us before you check out.

Our policy at Sequins & Sand is to only dispatch orders using Australia Post postage methods that can, in most cases, be tracked and/or insured. The cost of providing this service has been built into the postage fees as displayed on our website.

Within Australia
If your order is to be shipped to anywhere in Australia and it is more than AUD$150 your shipping will be free! Orders of AUD$250 or more to beyond Australia will also be shipped for free!

Orders within Australia can be sent by either:

  • Registered Mail satchel (goods sent as regular mail to all parts of Australia and are insured) or
  • Express Post satchel (goods arrive the next business day, to many parts of Australia but are NOT insured)

Registered Post
The fees are defined by satchel size:
0-500g = $8.90
500g – 3kg = $12.90
3kg and over = $18.00

Using Registered Mail means that parcels are both insured and able to be tracked in the event that they go missing or are damaged in transit. Your Registered Post number appears on the front of the post bag. That number will also be included in the Dispatch Notification we send by email. Please keep a record of this somewhere just encase we need to track it down.

Bris/Syd/Can/Melb = 4-6 days
Ade/Perth/Hob/Dar = 7-10 days

Express Post
This service will be the fastest way we can get your order to you. It is supposed to ensure Next Business Day Delivery, however allow a day extra for gremlins!

The fees are defined by satchel size:

0-500g = $11.50
500g – 3kg = $13.90
3kg and over = $25.00

Using Express Post means that parcels get there faster, but they are NOT insured. They are however, able to be tracked.

So, in the event that they go missing or are damaged in transit and you still want to receive them, you will need to order and pay for the products again.

Your Express Post number appears on the front of the post bag. That number will also be included in the Dispatch Notification we send by email. Please keep a record of this somewhere.

International Orders & Shipping
If you live outside Australia and your order is more than AUD $250 your shipping will be free!

Our policy at Sequins & Sand is to only dispatch orders using Australia Post insured postage methods and where practical, tracked. The cost of providing this service has been built into the postage fees as displayed on our website.

Internationally, we offer two shipping options - i)Insured Air Mail and ii)Express Courier International (ECI).

i)Insured (Registered) Air Mail:
We offer an Air Mail facility with the added security and benefit of insurance for all parcels sent and delivery confirmation to most countries, when goods are over 2kg. A card will be dispatched with your parcel for you to sign which will be returned to us to let us know that you have received it. Items stand a better chance of being tracked down if they are signed for. They can only be signed for if insured first. We will lodge all international delivery confirmation paperwork at out end to facilitate this process.

*Please note that Sequins & Sand cannot accept responsibility for deliveries that have not been signed for.

Insured (Registered) Air Mail is able to be tracked. We will send out the tracking number to you in our dispatch notification email. Australia Post will investigate the parcel's whereabouts if it is insured. Goods over 2kg are able to be better located with the addition of delivery confirmation which is why we have included it as a standard in our shipping costs.

Delivery times are dependent on your location but generally the estimated delivery time for Insured Airmail shipments is about 3-10 working days.

We have standardised our rates as follows to anywhere in the world where this service is offered:

0g-500g = $21
500g–1kg = $28
1kg-1.5kg = $38
1.5kg-2kg = $48
2kg-2.5kg = $53
2.5kg-5kg = $58


ii) Express Courier International (ECI):
ECI is an international courier service operated via Australia Post. It provides a door to door delivery of goods to over 200 countries usually within 2-4 working days to metropolitan areas of major cities. It offers full tracking and signature on delivery.

You can track your parcel's progress anytime at www.auspost.com.au/internationalpost/products/eci The dispatch notification we send by email to you will have the consignment number to use to do this.

As required, we will supply our delivery company with your address and name to complete the delivery process.

Please be aware that, whilst every care will be taken with your confidential information, we are not responsible for and do not provide any assurances for the actions of third parties because we simply can not control them and what they do.

We have standardised our rates as follows to anywhere in the world where this service is offered:

0g-500g = $45
500g–1kg = $54
1kg-2kg = $65
2kg-3kg = $81
3kg-5kg = $108


Important Customs Notice
Customs/Duty For Orders Outside Australia:
If you are making a purchase at Sequins & Sand from outside Australia, some countries have import duty and other taxes on goods entering their country.
The amount you are allowed to import varies from country to country and you are responsible for all charges that may be applied to allow your goods to leave customs. Unfortunately Sequins & Sand is not able to estimate what these charges might be.

For our customers living outside Australia, choosing the Insured Airmail or the Express Courier International shipping option enables us to deduct the GST (goods and services tax) component off our recommended retail price. This may change going forward, but where we can practicably do this, we will make every endeavour to do so.

This does not account for duties and customs taxes that you may have to pay. These are very country specific and we can not take responsibility for paying these taxes - that responsibility rests with you. Please enquire at your local customs office to find out what you may have to pay before or upon taking receipt your purchased goods.


Important Information About Deliveries
We have provided you with an estimated date for delivery of goods (stated above under each shipping option). While we make every effort to deliver by this time, all dates specified are estimates only.

We will not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from late delivery. You acknowledge and agree that late delivery does not constitute a breach by us of our agreement and does not entitle you to cancel an order.

Please note that if an item has been lost in transit, we will not dispatch a replacement item immediately. Replacement items will only be dispatched at our discretion.

We will not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from items lost, stolen or damaged after delivery has taken place.

Incorrect Addresses:
It is your obligation to enter the correct delivery address details at the time of ordering. Should you enter the wrong address, we are not obliged to re-send the order to the correct address at our expense.

Parcel Does Not Arrive:
It is your responsibility to inform Sequins & Sand if an order does not arrive. Once we learn an order has not arrived by within reason by the due date, we will lodge enquiries with the delivery company to try and determine where the parcel is. We will not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from late delivery or parcels not arriving.

Please note that if an item has been lost in transit, we will not dispatch a replacement item immediately. Replacement items will be dispatched accordingly at our discretion.

Late Delivery:
Without limiting the operation of any other Terms and Conditions herein, we will not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from a late delivery, you agree that a late delivery does not constitute a failure of our agreement, and does not entitle you to cancellation of an order.

Loss or Damage After Delivery:
Without limiting the operation of any other Terms and Conditions herein, we will not accept liability for any loss or damage arising from items lost, stolen or damaged after delivery has taken place.
